Well tonight, Mr. Aidan sat in his high chair and mimicked us shaking our head from side to side. He had a great day at school today (3 hour nap!) and was just a ham tonight for us.
Here's some video of him "telling" us what he likes and dislikes:
(I'm trying out Blogger's new Video service, so we'll see how it goes)
Have a great TGIF everyone!

Eight Months Old Today!!
Happy "Snowman" Months Old, Aidan!
Eight months ago today, Aidan arrived to us!
It's simply amazing how his presence has changed us...all for the better. I think back to that day, and the awful days afterwards while he was in the NICU; how our pediatrician told us that there was really no telling what was going to happen to him, they couldn't tell us why he stopped breathing and seized, they couldn't give us any short-term or long-term prognosis...it was all a wait and see game. And we struggled with that, but we knew that they best, most professional doctors that we could find were watching over him, and that the most alert and compassionate NICU nurses were watching over him, like angels, day and night.
I believe to this day that when we were at our lowest point (right after the first NICU doc and our pediatrician said that they were really worried about him and were considering transporting him to St. John's), when that little old lady knocked on our door and offered us Holy Communion and prayed with us....I closed my eyes and I saw Aidan being held in the palms of someone's hands. (No really, I really saw that!) I knew it was God...and I knew from that point that all was going to be fine.....and now eight months later....we are so blessed to have a strong-willed, happy and healthy child.
Some new things that he's been doing include: tonight for the first time he did really well with a sippy cup, he's been taking "combo food" dinners (tonight we had Turkey Tetrazini!), he's figured out how to shake his head "no" (not a good thing), taking a puff and putting in into his mouth (after donating about 10 to Allie!), being unbelievably enthused by Daddy and Mommy's rendition of "The Mr. Zebra Song" (more on this in another post!) and passing a puff from hand to hand using the pincer grasp!
Here he is, tonight, happy as can be on his 8 month birthday!
So what color are those eyes again??? Brown as brown!
Smiling for all, just a happy little man!
Pullin' up on Daddy's Backside! Look at those two pillars of pure muscle hold that body up!
Up to standing and telling Dadda all about it!

-
I'll give you one guess in the first picture who walked over to play with us....yep it's Momma!
-
Uh...I think he's too big for the Papasean Swing and looking up with Daddy!
-
And posing with Momma....ahhhhhh!
We'll, that's all for tonight.....

"A Ten Hut!!"
Happy Sunday everyone! We had a very nice weekend here in St. Louis. The weather was beautiful, low humidity and lower temps. Daddy and Aidan had a "Boyz Night" on Friday Night while Mommy got to go Scrapbook with her friends from work and Auntie Elizabeth. Daddy and baby hung out for awhile and ate a good dinner then went and visited Mommy so Aidan could get his nighttime feeding straight from the source if you know what I mean.
Saturday and today we just did some running around doing the norm. After today's activities, Mommy made her famous Salsa while Daddy mowed the yard and washed the Pilot. Boy, they both look great!
Now for the important news of the day: We have a "Soldier Crawler" on our hands! A TEN HUT! Here he is tonight, with Daddy being overly thrilled....as usual. I love this baby!!!
Here's some other random pics from this weekend.
Daddy and Aidan studying (yuck!) on Sat. Morning
Aidan tonight after having his NEW dessert....Papaya!
And finally, the Future Millionaire sitting at the head of the table watching Mommy and Daddy enjoy their dinner of Ranch Burgers, Baked Fries and Sweet Corn-on-the-Cob! YUMM-O!
Have a great night,
Ty, Em, Aid and A.P.

Giving Love Out to Findlay!
I'll tell you, it is unbelievable seeing the footage of my (Daddy's) hometown, Findlay Ohio. Fortunately, both Grammy T and G-pa Steve had just a little bit of flooding, but we sure do send out our best wishes to all of our friends who may have been affected by this very, very rare and tragic event. I can't believe all the TV coverage of it. Here's a picture that I found particularly amazing.
It shows our downtown, which I have never seen flooded even close to where the water is now. I saw that FEMA, the National Guard and the Department of Homeland Security was in town today, so let's hope and pray for a quick clean up and rebuilding to so many of those who's lives were changed Monday night. For those wondering just how fast the river rose, check out this graph.
Between Tuesday @ 2AM and 2 PM Tuesday afternoon, the river rose 13 feet!! Unbelievable.
Get better Findlay! We're pulling for you!!
Now, onto the baby news....
We had a big day yesterday as Emmy saw Mr. Aidan pull himself up for the first time! She set him in the laundry basket while she put away his clothes and when she looked back....there he was standing full up in the basket!!! Wow!

I'm lonely!
Hi, this is Aidan. I'm sad.
Grammy T left this morning to go back to her house and I miss her.
But I am soooo glad that she got to come and visit with Mommy, Daddy and me. We had so much fun! She did way too much work, though! Mommy and Daddy thank you so much for helping us around the house and bringing all those gifts and food for us! I can't wait to see you in a month when we visit Findlay for the first time! I promise that I'll have all my teeth in that I'm cutting right now! And maybe (probably) I'll be crawling too!
I miss you and love you,
Aidan
Here's some pictures from the weekend....
Sitting up so good with Auntie Elizabeth's T-shirt that she got me! Thanks Auntie E!
Grammy feeding me din-din last night! I ate it up so good for her!!
Finally playing on Great-Grammy Nancy's blanket she made for me with Grammy T!
Have a great night!

Into the Wild Blue Yonder....
There we go, into the Wild Blue Yonder....well not actually. At our picnic on Saturday, one of my co-workers has a full-scale cockpit of a Sabreliner T-39 Training Aircraft. He put it on wheels and takes it to airshows (and company picnics). This would mark Mr. A's first official visit to an airplane for all those counting...or care...or think Daddy is an "Airplane-Nut" or "smelled a little too much jet fuel". Anyways, I was thrilled to get the shot...and of course, he was happy to be there with Daddy and Mommy!
Now, onto other things...we Mr. A got his first try tonight at Puffs! He did pretty well with them, sometimes raking them in and other's getting them with the pincer grasp. Here's some shots Mommy took:
Now, let me tell you about something that we've been noticing (rather hearing) from the little man over the last few days. His vocabulary is exploding both in the number of psudo-words he says to the pitch, volume and longetivity of those words. Today on the way home from the grocery he must have happy screamed and babbled the entire way, just laughing and carrying on with himself. Intermixed in all the laughs were Dad-das, Mom-mas, Bobs, Pahs, Wees, Clicks and many more. So funny to hear him talk like that now, just the first step in learning to "talk back" to us :o)
Today when Aidan was taking his morning nap, Emmy and I had a conversation with the deer that keeps eating our tomatoes. Seriously, we sat and talked with her for about 15 minutes before she got mad and walked back into her woods after we told her "No more Tomatoes!"
Have a great night all!
Ty, Em, Aid and Allie-oop
PS: Did Anyone see that we got a hit from Poland yesterday! We're international baby! "Czesc" -> "Hello" in Polish!
