Another Month Bites the Dust....

Time just seems to fly when you're having fun...or so they say.

Well June is just about done and now we point the fam towards the fun of the Fourth of July and the heat of summer.

A relatively quiet weekend here this weekend. We had Aid's swim lessons on Saturday and then an afternoon and evening with Auntie Elizabeth last night. They had been out of town for E's Birthday so we went over, swam, ate and had more birthday presents...and boy that Auntie Elizabeth really knows how to do Birthday Presents!!!

E got a Little Tikes Swing that I'll be installing under the deck, some great toys and clothes and this...the Buzz Lightyear Toy Story 3 Little ATV! After about 3 minutes, Ethan was able to pull up on it, swing his leg over and sit on it! Soon, mark my words, he'll be driving on his own!

Here's some pictures:

Sorry the picture quality is pretty bad, we'll get some better ones!

Of course, Aidan LOVED the ATV!

Today, we had a first for the family, our first "invited to" birthday party. We went to a place called My Gym, that had all sorts of gymnastic toys, ball pits, you name it for kids to run, jump and play on. We had the whole facility so I was Aidan and all his Strawberry Room classmates (the birthday boy was in his class from school). After a rough start, missing Mommy, and after Dad had to call her back to the place (Mommy left with Ethan to shop because it's tacky to bring your "other" kid to a birthday party so we read...), Aidan finally warmed up and had a GREAT time. It was a John Deere themed party and was a lot of fun. The kids played and played and Aidan also got to go on the zip line! He loved it...

Finally, since we didn't take too many pictures this week, here's some early this month that I hadn't posted. Enjoy!

Have a great night,
Ty, Emmy, Aidan and Ethan

Happy Father's Day 2010!!

Another year and another great day with my boys and lady on Father's Day!

All in white, just like last year...someone got a little bigger huh?

I did have a great day today, just lots and lots of things to be thankful for!

This morning was much of our normal routine, groceries, etc. But then after the boys went down for naptime...IT WAS ON! It was time to unleash my Father's Day present onto the world. It's a Honda HRR216VKA lawn mower, and I absolutely love it. Yesterday I got it all outfitted with my lawn striper and today, even though the yard really didn't need to be mowed AND it was 95+ degrees here, we got it on! Here's the proud Dad with my new ride and the finished product...that yard is PERFECT!

I couldn't believe how fun the mower was to run. It was unbeliveably fast, like, I was out of breath after walking with it for awhile. I liked it so much, I mowed the neighbor's yard too!! I'm sure Mr. Mike will be surprised when he gets back from camping this weekend.

After the boys finished their naps, it was onto my second favorite, the pool. Especially the pool with the diving board. Last year because of E, we didn't go to this pool, but now that he's able to sit and hang out in his floating boat, and Aidan is getting really good at swimming, I was able to steal a few minutes (an hour) to go and dive. Loved it. Can Openers, Flying Squirrels, Parachutes, and of course I had to try and did make my double flip. Awesome time.

For Dinner, Mommy made her famous maranara sauce and chicken parmasean. Plus, we tried Grammy T's Restaraunt recipe cookbook and made Olive Garden's salad dressing. It was pretty close, either way a great Italian salad!

Here's some highlights of the weekend:

Ethan is really starting to get fun around the house. He found one of Allie's toys the other night and she started going crazy for him to play with her. Check out the movie here:

And pics:

(story on this picture, Ethan had just pulled Allie's leg, she freaked out and threw the bear into the air, E can't get enough of her!)

And a couple shots of Mr. 1 year old on Saturday. Those eyes are something else. Daddy gussied him up with some gel too, looking good buddy!

Aidan has something he wants to show YOU! Remember back in March when we planted sunflowers??? Well, here they are now! Holy Moly! Over 6' tall! It has been so fun watching these things go. Aidan is the best gardener I know!

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!

That's all for tonight, I hope all the Dad's that read our blog had a special day! Thanks to Mommy for making my day so great....it was...it really was!

Have a great night,
Ty, Emmy, Aidan and Ethan

Ethan's Wild Birthday Weekend!

And what a weekend it was! We had lots of family in town, Grammy's T and P and Grandpa Jim and they were just so ready to see the two big guys!

Grammy T came over early on Thursday and we spent all day Friday having fun with the boys. We went over to the Whittle Short Line Railroad (great place by the way) to play with some trains for awhile and then onto lunch with Mommy at her office. After nap, Grammy T was just itchin' to get to opening presents, so we opened Aunt Natalie's gift, a great musical table!! Both guys really loved it!

Checking out the gift and tearing into the fun!

Yum!, wrapping paper!

Friday Night we headed out to BC's Kitchen in O' Fallon, which was a great dinner. Ethan really loved sharing his cracker with Daddy!

Saturday morning we were joined by Grammy P and Grandpa Jim at Grant's Farm. The weather was a little toasty but we were there when it opened and got to see and do all that it could offer!

Mommy and Ethan were loving the ride on the tram back through the Farm!

The boys were quite happy to see their Grammy and Grandpa!!

Although it was a hot and sticky day, Aidan loved cruising around in style!

We decided this time to buy a couple of bottles of milk to feed the goats...and boy what an experience THAT was!

After Grandpa Jim and Aidan worked together to learn how to feed the little guys....

....Aidan fed them all by himself!!

Next it was time to enter the "Goat's Den!"...Brave Daddy and Aidan made our way in.

It started out great, Aidan brushed them up a little bit...then...

...hmmm, this looks like a nice goat....

...he's eating your shirt Aidan!!!....

Next it was onto the rest of the park...

A couple of family shots.

Bud the Elephant having fun at his show and Aidan by a super cool tortoise.

Both Aid and E got to ride on the carousel...they both LOVED it!

Grammy snapped an awesome picture of an American Bald Eagle.

Finally it was onto the Clydesdales...

They had a couple of babies out...amazing horses for sure.

After a great lunch at Chik-fil-a and a nap....it was Birthday time!

Ethan loved his new ball pit, and of course, so did his brother.

Grammy P and Grandpa Jim got him a tree house with a slide...and believe it or not, he did great going down the slide!

Here's a movie...

Mommy and Daddy found him this awesome Pirate ship water table...

Everybody was having a good time on the deck!

Here's a movie of the fun!

Finally, it was time for birthday cupcakes!

He kinda was into the cupcake... :)

The wild weekend ended yesterday night when Grammy T went home, but first it was another round of water play and a good dinner as a family.

Thanks everyone for coming and thank you for all your loving on our two little men. So much more than I've ever seen with past visits...both boys showed that they REALLY love you guys. We love ya and can't wait to see you again!

That's all for tonight!

Happy First Birthday Ethan...you da man!!
