Tonight, Thirty Nine Weeks!

Mr. Aidan turns 9 months old tomorrow....seems just like yesterday...but also he's changed so much you wonder, "What has happened in the last 39 weeks?"

Here he is tonight, being is fun and awesome self...laughing up a storm for Mommy and Daddy.

Grandpa Bert did great with his surgery today...I talked to him afterwards and he was already crackin' jokes...that's my man! We love you!

It's off to the hometown of Findlay tomorrow; Aidan's second big road trip and first time back to where I grew up. He's going to meet up with both Grandpas and Grammy T, as well as a whole host of others who have watched him grow here on the Frost Family Adventure. We can't wait to see you all and to Grammy T, travel safe on your way back from sunny Florida.

Later!

Book Time with Daddy!

One of Aidan's most favorite times at night is sitting down with Mommy and Daddy and reading a few books. This is something that we've been doing just about every night since Emmy was 12 weeks pregnant. His most favorite book is "The Going to Bed Book" by Sandra Boynton.

He has a favorite page, as many have seen, that reads...."The day is done, they say good night, and somebody turns out the light." It's funny to watch him...we'll have to get it on video and post sometime!

Here's some pics of our favorite nighttime routine.

We definitely want to give all our thoughts and prayers to my Grandpa (Aidan's Great-Grandpa) tomorrow during his surgery. Funny Story: for those who don't know. His real name is Ervin, but everybody called him "Ernie". When I was a small child, I however, didn't like Ernie from Sesame Street....so I called him Grandpa "Bert"....and it's stuck to this very day. Grandpa Bert, we love you lots and are wishing you a very quick recovery!

Goin' to Level 3 and beyond!

Tonight Aidan had his first Gerber Level 3 foods! He had Organic Savory Carrots Potatoes and Beef...and he ate the whole 5 and a half ounces plus rice cereal. Wow!

Takin' a bite and showing everyone his first #3 dinner!

He liked it so much that he tried to eat the container!

We also found him this weekend doing the following.....

Standing up in his crib! Whoa! So Daddy had to lower the bed level on the crib so he doesn't decide to jump on out of there.

We had a very nice night last night as Auntie Elizabeth came over to babysit while Mommy and Daddy went out to dinner. We had a GREAT dinner at Bristol's in Winghaven and Mr. Aidan was perfect for Auntie Elizabeth too! Woo-hoo!

Finally, here he is eating real people food Friday night. Daddy made steak with garlic mashed potatoes that Aidan loved! Especially the mashy tatoes!

Later!

Oh No Cardinals!

Well, Aidan's good luck charm to the St. Louis Cardinals ended fantastically tonight at the expense of the Houston Astros. The Cardinals were "smoked" 18-1. We left after the 6th inning when it was still a respectable 5-0....

In any case, just because the Cards lost doesn't mean we didn't have a great time! Aidan spent most of the game entertaining all the people around us (especially the two behind us), smiling, laughing, playing peek-a-boo and giggling. I think they didn't even see much of the game as they were so occupied at watching our little Cardinal! How funny!

Here are some pics we got tonight:

Before the Game with Fredbird and Mommy

Family shot at the house and having fun with Mommy at the game!

Haven't I seen this picture before? and Everybody having fun!

Happy TGIF!

Happy 4th Anniversary!

Seems like yesterday...two crazy kids got together and got hitched. Now, look where we are, house, dog and most importanly....a beautiful child. I love you Emmy; you are the very best to me and to Aidan. All the things you do for us; caring, nurturing and most of all, being patient, you are so special and I am so glad to be writing this four years after we pledged our love to each other in Cincinnati!

We're headed to the Cardinals game tonight to celebrate...so hopefully Mr. A will be our good luck charm again (they need it bad, BTW)!

Have a great day!

Grammy P Brought the Farm!

Well, Grammy P....all the way from Nashville, Tennessee brought Mr. Aidan a little piece of country....it's the Little People Barnyard! Complete with a cow, sheep, piggy, rooster, horse and farmer! It makes all the sounds of the farm and plays "Old MacDonald" too! He loves it and was even dancing to the music! Here he is, our little cowboy and his "farm".

Appreciating St. John's Mercy!

Today we experienced one of the most amazing times that I have ever seen a hospital (let alone any company) put on for their employees. Emmy's hospital, St. John's rented out Busch Stadium and provided hot dogs, pretzels, brats, drinks...you name it for all of its 7000+ employees and family members. They had tours of the field (since the Cardinals were playing in Arizona) and of the dugouts. We took full advantage of all of this and absolutely had a blast! Auntie Elizabeth came with us and got Aidan a Build-A-Fredbird (for those who do not know, Fredbird is the mascot of the St. Louis Cardinals). So Aidan and I got to stuff the bird and Aidan got to kiss its heart and put it into "Aidan Fredbird" (that's what we named him). Auntie Elizabeth then bought him Fredbird's Car to go along with him. She is so amazing....Aidan is a very lucky little godson indeed. All in all, a really genuine and fantastic gesture by Emmy's company (ya hear that Boeing...St. John's is a not-for-profit company and they do this for their employees!!) In any case, we took 104 pictures....so enjoy some below:

-
Aidan meeting his Fredbird for the first time and his Birth certificate.
-
-
Stuffin' Up the Bird!

-
Giving the heart of Fredbird a kiss (then then put that into the bird and sew him up) and then licking his fingers clean!

-
Just Sitting in Section 156, Row 12, Seat 5 checkin' out the game on the Jumbotron. Check out too those "cleats" he's wearing...courtesy of Grandpa John!

Hangin' with my Auntie E, I sure love her!

Chillin' with Dad and eating good for Auntie E

-
Ahhh....sleepyhead on the field (!) with Mom and Dad and posing by Cardinal Retired #6, Stan the Man Musial

-
Funny Story: After I took the picture on the left, I told Mommy to do something with Aidan so he doesn't look like a passed out sailor, so she did the picture on the right. Funny!
-
-
Daddy givin' it up for the Bud Light sign in the outfield and showing you exactly how tall the outfield walls are....they're pretty tall.
-
-
What the scoreboard looks like to an outfielder standing on the "warning track" and Mr. Sleepy
-
-
Mommy, Daddy, Aidan and Elizabeth sitting in the Cardinals' dugout...yes the real dugout!
-
-
Daddy about to make the call to the bullpen and the view from sitting near home plate (check out that arch!)
-
These next pictures were taken with Aidan sitting on the grass just behind the home plate. Some lady asked us if she could take his picture because he looked so cute sitting there playing with the grass. Agreed...he was awesome for these pics....so awesome that a bunch of other people put their babies down on the grass and got in trouble for being on the grass...oops!

Posing with Daddy and Elizabeth

Finally, sitting along the backstop behind home plate with Dad and sitting out front with his Fredbird and Fredbird's car.
