Sunday Hello!

Hi everyone,

This is Aidan. Not much to report here tonight. We didn't do much today, just our normal errands. I took a great nap this afternoon while Mommy did work and Daddy did school. Both of them got lots done, so they were able to spend lots of time with me after I woke up. Then tonight, I had some Stage 3 Lasagna with cheese, green beans, some of Mommy's twice baked potatoes and then for dessert....vanilla yogurt...yummy! I took a great bath and then did a first for Mommy and Daddy....I waved to them! Mommy was saying "bye-bye" and making the waving motion with her hand and I responded by doing the same thing! They both laughed at me and I laughed back...it was sooo funny! Then I went down really well to sleep...I'll tell you, my ear feels so much better! Thank you anti-biotics! Here's some pics of me today, enjoy!

This is me, eating my puzzle pieces with my dog "Tan Butt"...and watching Daddy's Broncos get just crushed by the Chargers...sorry Daddy.

Check out those "Guns" everyone! Pa-Pow!

In the spirit of Halloween..I thought I'd give you my best monster impression...and smiling at Daddy during dinner tonight.

Have a great night everyone!

My First Haircut!

OK, I know....some people on Daddy's side of the house think that it's bad luck for you to get your haircut before the first year....but, I don't believe that and we were tired of him looking like a raggamuffin. So without further ado, I give you Aidan's first haircut!

So we went to a place called "The Hairy Elephant". He got to sit in a Jeep Wrangler and watch both Baby Einstein videos and the receptionist blow bubbles. All in all, he was really good, loved the Jeep and sat still for the hair stylist lady. They only did a really light trimming, since really only his bangs and sides were getting too long.

Chillin' in the Jeep and watching bubbles with his "cape" on.

Big smile before the cut and being such a good boy!

All done! and Checking out the sticker for being a good boy!

Posing with Mommy and light'n up the world with those HUGE eyes!

Today too, Aidan got to see where Daddy works at the big airplane factory! We couldn't take any pictures though because of security reasons...but in any case I'll give you the short of it. He liked my desk, Daddy had an urgent call from the Navy so he had to do some work (Great Timing), Aidan got fed Chicken with Wild Rice while Daddy worked, and then finally got changed on his desk! Eewww! Trust me though, we cleaned it up good.

That's all from here.

Have a great night,
Ty, Em, Aidan and Allie-oop

Yo Baby!

Aidan had his nine month checkup today and overall Dr. Mayer is very pleased with this development both phyiscally and mentally. He's slipped a bit to being a little below the 50th percentile on weight but we fully attributed that to the fact that he is extremely mobile now around the house and at school. More importantly, his head circumference is still tracking right along the 50th percentile, meaning that his noggin' is getting smarter everyday!

He weighed in at 19 lbs 12 ounces, and was 28" even long. He rated right between the 9 and 10 month milestone on the Denver Developmental Chart.

The title of this post is in reference to some new info that we got today. Aidan is now clear to consume the following:
  • Yogurt, specifically in his case "Yo Baby" brand yogurt.
  • Any table food, especially fruits and veggies that can help him develop the pincer grasp a little better.
  • Cheerios!
  • Real Meats, such as shredded chicken, ground beef and turkey
  • Pasta, cut into small bite sized pieces

He did great tonight taking the yogurt out of his sippy cup as well as picking up and eating the Cheerios! Here's some shots.

Tour of Ohio - Stop #5: Party time at Grammy T's!

So first off, let's talk about a few things...

First...

Today marks the day that Aidan has now spent more time outside in the world that he had inside growing with Emmy. Cool huh?

Also....

Just last night he has turned in his "soldier" crawling ability for the new and improved "real hands and knees" crawling! And he is fast! We'll get some vids up when we can.

And.... he greeted Emmy today standing straight up and holding onto the door in the Pear Room. He's gotten awesome at pulling up and sitting back down just in the last few days.

Now on to our final stop...

Grammy T had a big Pumpkin themed party for Aidan on Sunday. She invited a bunch of folks over and cooked up everything with pumpkin in it. From cookies to pasta to chicken to beer, all food had pumpkin in it! Everyone had a great time including the star of the show...our Pumpkin Aidan!

With Mommy and opening some presents....

With Mommy and reading with Grammy and Dad!

That's all guys...hope you enjoyed. Thanks to all for everything!!

Ty, Emmy and Aidan

Tour of Ohio - Stop #4: Grandpa John and New Riegal Ribs!

There is this little po-dunk town out in the middle of no where called New Riegal. They have exactly one bank, one stoplight, one bar, one scrapbooking store(?), and one place to eat ribs...the New Riegal Cafe and Gift Shop. I've been going here for about at long as I can remember, and my Dad has been going there since he was a little kid. The place has the most unique ribs that I have ever tasted. They use some sort of garlic, vinegar and onion infused brine and then pressure cook the ribs. They top it all off with a glaze/covering of their "BBQ" sauce, which by Emmy and my intense disection, is made from vinegar, garlic, tomato paste, onion, and other spices. The place is legendary for their ribs and also for their most famous customer...Mr. Jamie Farr, Corporal Maxwell Klinger from M.A.S.H.
Anyways, here's some shots with Grandpa John.

Only one stop left....Grammy T's!

Tour of Ohio - Stop #3: Meeting Ty's Grandpa

Well, all in all, the trip was full of joy, however, I did need to take Aidan by my Grandpa Dick to show him what a wonderful being Aidan really is. A very sad time for me (probably even worse than when he passed), considering that Grandpa would be so proud of Emmy and I for making Aidan who he is. We love you Grandpa Dick...

If he only knew Aidan....how impressed he'd be!

On to Grandpa John next.....

Tour of Ohio - Stop #1: Grandpa Steve's!

And we're back....

We had a great trip to Ohio over this weekend! Aidan got to meet more people that he could even imagine! What a whirlwind tour it was.
-
The best part of the whole weekend was that Mr. A was all smiles all the time! He really was a good boy and boy did we need that. Daddy had him shuffled around northern Ohio so much, that just one meltdown could have derailed the whole enchilada!

Here's some fantastic pictures from this long weekend....enjoy!

You'll see that Aidan is a big fan of hats....here he is with Mommy and Aunt Nat
-

With Nattie and Step Grandma Liz...always smiling..

Happy after getting his belly full and smiling with my Dad!

Bowling with his new penguin friends....and can you believe it...that's a nine month old! Doesn't he look way older??

Again...how old is this little boy?
