Choo-chucks!!!

We had a banner day on Saturday! Aidan is really big into trains right now, huge big. So we headed down to the Missouri Botanical Garden and saw their Gardenland Express model train exhibit. They take a room that is at least 2,000 square feet, and put up all sorts of model train layouts using poinsetta's and other real plants as the fauna around the scenes. It's really quite cool and Aidan was definitely in "Railroad Heaven" watching all the trains drive around. Here are some pictures from the Gardens!

Afterwards, we stopped and were going to watch real trains at a train yard off of I-44 in South St. Louis. To our surprise, there was a BIG train just starting to go. The train engineer saw us there watching and waved to Aidan, then started "dinging" the train bell and then let out two BIG horn blows! It was awesome, as we were sooo close to the engine such that the pure power of them were shaking our car!

As you can tell, Daddy was pretty darn excited. Mommy only had to tell him to calm down once ;) Side Story: when Daddy was a kid, his Dad/Mom/Grandparents/Uncles/Aunts/etc

...used to race him to see train go by as soon as he heard the whistle blow. It didn't matter what we were doing, we'd always go after the train!! And so it begins again. :)

Aidan, however, was frozen, he just looked at those engines and all the cars as they started going by with awe. It was really great...after a few minutes he started saying...."Choo-Chuck" which is his current word for train. How fun, I'll tell you guys, it was pretty darn fun!

A Special Treat!

Tonight Aidan was an extraordinarily good boy playing very nice after dinner, so we surprised him with a special snack...ice cream! And he surprised us with some serious "Aunt Natalie-style" lickin' the bowl clean! Nice work Aid!!

Week 14 - A Lemon!

Today we pass through Week 14 and Baby Frost #2 is the size of a lemon! This week he or she can now squint, frown, grimace, pee (!), and possibly suck his thumb! He or she is also starting to grow lanugo (pronounced Lan-NEW-go), which as you see below here, Aidan had a ton of!

Check out (you'll have to click on the picture) all that hair on his shoulders and arms, it's lanugo!Awesome!

Read more about the happenings of Week 14 here. Also see what the little guy or girl looks like here. Emmy's been feeling really great and the tiredness of the last few weeks is starting to subside. This is nearly identical to what she felt during her journey with Aidan....what could that mean??? Another boy??? Well I'm sure the Grammy's and the Aunt have something to say about that!!! Our next appointment is a week from Friday, and the gender ultrasound is scheduled for January 19th...so we'll see then if Baby F2 will cooperate. If you remember Aidan, see here, had his legs spread wide open to show us what he was going to be!!

The voting for the baby name is going great! Thanks to all who contributed, Ethan is the current leader and Addison (uck) and Lauren are tied for the girls! But watch out, Anderson and Avery are closing in fast!

On another more important note, today is Grandma Peggy's Birthday! Happy Birthday Grandma Peggy!!! We hope you had a wonderful day and we can't wait to see you again in only 16 short days for Aidan's birthday weekend! We love you lots, and wish you many, many more birthdays!

Our exit tonight is a special movie of Mr. A. He has gotten ridiculous at self-play and imaginary playing. Here (just for Emmy's co-worker, Fernanda) is Aidan feeding his buffalo and other animals. It's so funny near the end where he makes the slurping sound when the animals eat!! Enjoy!

Chat time with Aidan, Part 2

After hearing rousing reviews for Aidan's last chat time, see the post here. I was able to catch him again, talking up a storm and demonstrating some good knowledge! Although he wasn't as big as a fan of Barack Obama this time, perhaps he sees that we may not be having the type of changes as he promised!?!

We also have been loving all your inputs to the Baby F2 name game! Thank you to all of you who have voted and continue to vote up until January 19th (our next ultrasound...and the gender ultrasound) for what you think we should name the next Frost!

We had a pretty quiet weekend, a little Christmas shopping here and there, but generally just a nice time with Aidan, Mommy and Allie.

Wow, St. Nicholas visited last night!

St. Nicholas surprised Aidan last night!!!

On the previous night, children put one empty shoe (or sock) outside, and, on the following morning of December 6, the children awake to find that St. Nick has filled their previously empty footwear with candy and small presents (if the children have been "good") or coal (if not). For these children, the relationship between St. Nick and Santa Claus is not clearly defined, although St. Nick is usually explained to be a helper of Santa. The tradition of St. Nick's Day is firmly established in the Milwaukee, Cincinnati and St. Louis communities, with parents often continuing to observe the day with even their adult children."

Aidan was sooo surprised to see that St. Nicholas left him a "Dig Dig" and immediately went off playing with it! What a fun morning seeing him walk out and see it....I can't wait until Christmas when he sees that train...he just might explode with joy, as will we!

Week 13 - A Medium Shrimp!

Today marks Week 13 of Baby F2's journey! He or she is the size of a medium shrimp! You can read more about F2's development this week here. And what he or she looks like here.

Well, as promised we have now included the NAME VOTER on the blog! Please vote and vote often for your choice of name for either a boy or girl! Last time the big winner ended up being Aidan for the boy and Olivia for the girl. Sooooo.......will you correctly pick the name of Baby F2??? Time will tell!

A Thankful Thanksgiving!

Our trek to Nashville and back has ended in success! We had a wonderful time with Aidan's Grandma Peggy and Emmy's Aunt, Uncle, Cousins and friends! Aidan was a super good boy on both 5 and a half hour drives and has found an affinity for trains (right in time huh?) We watched his train movie over and over and even got to take a picture next to real caboose in Thompson's Station, Tennessee! Here we are:

Turkey Day was fantastic, all the food was absolutely fantastic. Fried Turkey, homemade noodles, pumpkin pie and so much more! We really enjoyed the company of all, here are a few pics from our fun day!

Now, Aidan definitely took a liking to Trey's gal, Becca...What can I say? He's already on the prowl! And a kiss (!) too! Whoa!

Daddy was going to squirt some whipped cream in Aidan's mouth, but when I tried it, I just about gagged because it put too much in! I asked Aidan if he wanted some, he said, "No, No Daddy!" And Aidan and the boys watching football.

With the Tennessee Titans having such a great year, we all huddled up and watched them smash the poor Lions...Aidan too got into the football spirit

Friday we spent a little time on the farm where Aidan got to ride on a four-wheeler for the first time. Grammy was VERY safe with him and they went really slow around the driveway and grass. I think he liked it, but the pictures just show a perplexed and intense look. Oh well!

Peggy's good friend Jim, saw how much fun Aidan had on Thanksgiving playing with the football that he braved the Black Friday crowd just to get Aidan his own small football! Aidan didn't put it down for at least four hours! He kept running around yelling "football" and rolling it on the floor and saying, "I'll get it!"...So funny!

Our trip back was nice and quiet as Aidan spent much of the time dreaming about how much fun he had with his family in Nashville. Thank you to all of you for your hospitality!

Today, we were awoken to a sight indeed outside of our home. Wow!

Then this morning we ate Cheerios out of a bowl with milk for the first time exclusively with a spoon! Yeah Aidan!
