Good Day!

Hello again, sorry we've been hit or miss for the past few weeks...been so crazy around here. First Chicago, then Baptism, then Grandpa John, then Mommy back to work and Labor Day, then Fantasy Football drafts (yes, these are important Emmy).

Anyways, we're now back in the clear kinda, next week Daddy is hosting 3 Finnish Air Force people (by himself, since the rest of the Finland Program is going to be IN Finland) for a big meeting. So it promises to be a very busy week. And, Grammy P and Jim are swinging by for a visit on Wednesday on their way to a wedding in Iowa...so let the excitement begin!

Ethan has survived two days at the Apple Room! Margaret and Becky really enjoy him and he's done great with bottles, feeding with Mommy and sleeping! Aidan's improving at the Lime Room. They really moved those little guys over there fast and it's been kinda difficult for our little guy. But today the report was a little teary in the early morning and lots of smiles and fun in the late morning and afternoon! Way to go Boys!

Mommy's transition too is going fine. They've certainly not eased her back in, but Mommy can do it and has spent most of her working career in the frying pan (ER nurse, Case Coordinator, Nursing Informatics and now Med Safety). Go Mommy Go!

Here's a few pictures that I have and a video of Aidan last Wednesday on the "BIG BOY SWINGS" Woot woot! Aidan! And one of Little E being fun with his Big Bro and Daddy!

Heads Up! and a big smile from Little E!

Almost doing well in the Bumbo....and before Grandpa John left he got Aidan a new Ice Cream Truck Matchbox toy!

That's a fine lookin' baby....:)

Sorry about the squeaking swing...needs some WD-40!

Have a great night!

Boys Day Out!

Well, today both Mommy and Daddy took on some challenges...and both of us passed with flying colors.

Today, as some know, was Emmy's first day back to work after her maternity leave. We chose a Friday because we knew it would allow her an "easy" day to ease back into the busy-ness of her job. As such, Daddy took on the challenge of managing the two guys, all alone, for the day. That included Ethan's Bottle #2 and #3, ever, that he did wonderful with!

So as it was, Mommy left this morning with a couple tears and reassurance from me that all would be well. I got the troops going early and we were out of the house by 9, headed direct to one of our favorite places...the Train Museum! Daddy wanted to get there early so Aidan could play in the "Creation Station". Here are a few pictures:

At the Thomas table with his favorite "Silly Billy" and doing a construction puzzle, he LOVES construction trucks!

Looking good at the "Build-Your-Own-Truck" table.

Honestly, the boys were angels. After Creation Station, Aid jumped in the stroller and we toured the grounds while he snacked on some popcorn and apple juice. Ethan bounced in and out of sleeping, but never made a peep. He was awake a lot and gave lots of smiles to me and his brother.

Next it was onto Chic-fil-a to pick up lunch and take to Mommy's work. We decided it was best that Ethan feed at lunch with Mom (as this most likely will be the norm once daycare starts next week). Plus, I wanted to show my boys off to her co-workers! Anyways, here's Aid chowing down on a cookie that Auntie Elizabeth got Mommy as a "welcome back" gift.

Speaking of welcome backs, Mommy's office really missed her. They all put together this very nice "welcome back" poster and hung it from her door. Each member from her departement wrote a nice note welcoming her back and (from what ones I read) telling her how much she was missed. Very nice, Performance Optimization Department, very nice. Thank you for welcoming Emmy back so nicely!

Here's the poster:

After that, the challenge began as I struggled a bit to get Aidan down for a nap, Ethan down for a nap and check up on a few things from work. Alas, all normalized around 230 and I had some time to myself.

So that's it, a great "Boys Day Out"...and although working stinks (in Mommy's case), I think she felt very welcomed back and is excited to keep pushing for zero Medication Events at her hospital.

Here's my boys....Aidan and Ethan:

Finally tonight, college football is back and tomorrow the Ohio State Buckeyes take on Navy. Here is Ethan sporting the colors of his favorite college team!

Have a great night,

A Great Visit from Grandpa John!

Emmy's Dad, John, made the drive over from Ohio this past weekend to see our boys and to have some fun. He hadn't seen Ethan yet and just wanted to get away from Ohio for a nice weekend with us!

On Friday night, prior to Grandpa John's arrival on Saturday, we held the inaugural Frost Family Movie Night! We laid out all the cushions from the couch and covered them with a blanket. Daddy cooked up some popcorn and we all laid out and watched "Wall-E". Aidan was in and out of it; I'd say it's pretty hard to follow for a 2 year old since there is so little commentary. Now that Aidan is so big into cooking, I think "Ratatouille" would have been a better choice....so next time it is.

Daddy and his boys at the premier of Frost Family Movie Night!

Saturday Morning we hung out around the house and then went out to Laurel Park to play on the playgrounds. Aidan loved the swings and the slides and Ethan just loved being cozy in his carseat with Mommy and Daddy taking turns pushing him on some of the paved trails around the park.

Down the Slide and in the Bubble!

Awesome heads up guys!

A smiley little boy!

And loving his cars and trucks!

Finally Saturday afternoon, Grandpa John arrived! We made reservations to BC's Kitchen in Lake St. Louis and had a wonderful dinner!

Sunday we woke up and Daddy made a big breakfast for everyone. Then...in most spur of the moment decisions, we made the decision to head to the Cardinal's game. I had found some tix online that were in the front row of Section 331, which is high, but still, front row tix are really cool to have...so we did it. We drove down, said hello to Uncle Bill at the parking lot, bought some dogs outside and ate lunch inside the stadium. It was "Adam Wainwright Bobblehead Doll Day" so the place was pretty packed.

So, you may be wondering the outcome of the game.....well, the Frost's boys have some record when they go down the stadium! After 10 games, we're 9-1 after yesterday's big win! Go Cardinals! Albert Pujols (shown below because he's a baseball god!) had a great game and the view from our seats shown below.

]
After the big win we headed home to do some baseball playin' of our own. Mommy cooked up her awesome champange risotto and homemade toasted raviolis while we had a good time!

=
Well, folks...he's looking like a lefty. Seriously, a 2% chance (since we're both righties), that Aidan would be left handed. He was way more fluid batting left...weird huh?

A first baseball card pic....I think so!!

And finally, testing out the the big hill behind our house.

Thanks again to Grandpa John for coming to see us and enjoying our two little boys.

Have a wonderful night everyone!

Fun with Uncle Aaron!

We were really happy to have one of Daddy's best friends and his girlfriend visit us this past weekend from Ohio. Uncle Aaron is also Ethan's godfather, so they came a day or so early for last weekend's big event!

On Friday, we just had to take Uncle Aaron to the National Museum of Transportation. Aaron is a huge train fan and I can remember hours we spent in his basement working on his N-scale model trains. So certainly, a very cool experience for him!

On Saturday, we set out for a nice morning and afternoon at the Missouri Wine Country about 45 mins west of our home. We were a little surprised that they discontinued external picnic baskets at Mount Pleasant Winery (our #1 choice), serious bummer dude. But we made due by first eating at Augusta Winery (one block to the east of MP) then heading to our fav. Here are some pictures of the day:

Of course, I drove my Lotus and Aaron had our Viper for the quick trip out to Augusta. I'll tell you, it was really sweet to take the hairpin turns and few straightaways on the trip. (P.S. Mommy and Jen took the "safe" Honda Pilot) The view still is beautiful at Mount Pleasant's seating area.

Daddy and Mr. Aidan having fun after he took a nice nap (those are some nice shades dude!)

Snuggling with Daddy right after waking up...and Mommy having fun with the E-man.

Little Blue Eyes....such a handsome boy!

Thanks Aaron and Jen for coming out to visit us and thank you again for your gifts for Aid and E!
Have a great night everyone!
