Happy Holiday Weekend Everyone,
We've definitely made the most of ours so far with a couple of excursions into the fun of Missouri.
First, in the over 7 years that we've been in St. Louis, we had never been to Grant's Farm, a property that is owned by the
Anhuesier-Busch family and that houses many exotic animals from all over the world. ...until now!
Saturday we packed up the crew and headed down early (you have to go early) to Grant's Farm. We got there, waited just a few minutes and then boarded a tram for about a 20 minute tour of the farm. It has history all the way back to
Ulysses Grant and is quite beautiful (oh, and there is free beer!). We saw all sorts of fun animals, from buffalo to zebras, from elephants to eagles and even a camel or two! And this is one of the homes for the famous Budweiser
Clydesdales, so we saw a few of those as well. Here's some pictures!

Buffalo and some baby buffs

Aidan and the buffs

A Scottish Longhorn, "Nice 'do dude!"

Kangaroos, two eating cereal, two eating lettuce, carrots and
broccoli!

Somebody was calling this camel, "Alice", really? Like from the song, "Alice the camel has two humps...."

Daddy, Aidan and a camel.

We lucky were walking by the Elephant show with "Bud" right when it was starting. So we sat and watched and it was really great! Here's bud doing a pose! (Note he's 13,200 pounds)

Here he is stretching his trunk 22 ft in the air to grab a ball! Whoa, Bud!

Some lucky fans in the front row were the recipients of this shower, courtesy of Bud.

Some parrots, Aid liked their colors.

Now onto the carousel. Best $2 I've spent! Aidan couldn't stop smiling!

Having the time of his life!
Next was onto lunch, they have an German themed
beergarten there, so Mommy and I got our two free samples (they are like 8 oz!!) and had
sauerkraut and brats, while Aid had a hot dog. It was really good.
`
Aidan did great on lunch, so a snow cone was in order. Strawberry in fact!

Next it was onto the Clydesdales, here Aid got to pet big Jerry. Aidan's favorite horse though was Big Jake. Who was appropriately, VERY big!
Here's a mom and her baby...

Today, we started off the day with a bike ride! It was Ethan's first time in the "capsule" and he did pretty well. It was hot and sunny, so we had to cut it a little short, but all in all we had two happy passengers!

Boys ready for a ride!
`
After that, we did our normal errands for Sunday and the boys took great naps while Mommy worked in the house and Daddy washed the cars. Then, it was back to an 'ol summer time ritual, the swimming pool. This time, Mommy and Ethan got to come with us! It was Ethan's first time at a pool here in Missouri, and he loved it! And Aidan was a very brave little boy and went down the water slide, ALL BY HIMSELF! What a big guy!

The coolest thing about this swim place is the huge dumping bucket of water! Check it out!

So that's it folks, 2/3
rds of the holiday weekend done and we've had a great time! Hope all your holiday plans have been great.
Thanks for reading and have a great night,
Ty, Emmy, Aidan and Ethan
