Update

Baby Aidan is doing well now, they have satisfactorily diagnosed the reasons for him stopping breathing. While we were visiting him in the NICU, he had another spell, and the nurse noted that it could be seizure related. Subsequently he was taken for a head CT and they found three small areas of blood between the skull and the brain. Our Neonatal doc, Dr. Brenner, believes that this is a mild case and that many babies have this condition (caused by increased pressure while moving through the birth canal), and that some babies respond with symptoms like this while others don't have any. The plan forward is that he will be monitored, probably through Wednesday next week, and the hope is that these seizure spells start to subside. He is on some meds to prevent seizures now, and eventually the blood will be absorbed into his body and we will have a happy healthy baby!

Thank you all for your prayers, you're very special to us.
Love,
Ty

PS- I should also mention that the heart murmur was unable to be found by our Neonatal doc, thus ruling it out as the cause of anything.
