Just want to give you the baby update for tonight. Aidan is doing very, very well. He has had nothing abnormal today....only normal stuff; having a huge poo in his diaper, whizzing on his nurse while she was changing his buisness, nursing great for Mom and burping great for Dad!
Aid completed his Upper GI Swallow Study and they found that indeed he did have a little case of reflux. They've decided to treat it with Zantac, which throughout the day today, did the trick. Also, I forgot to mention that he's now completely free of his IV, and passed his opthalmology tests with flying colors. He's going to give some blood tomorrow for a multitude of studies on his blood clotting ability. The quick preliminary tests taken on Saturday came out OK, so I don't anticipate any surprises. Also, tomorrow is his MRI! The last major hurdle to jump over will really give us a better idea of the bleeding in his brain and confirm that there are no other areas and that the bleeding has stopped. It's a big day and a big test for him. We'll be praying hard for no surprises.
They are talking now about releasing him from the hospital before Sunday. He's just doing so well now that they feel that the worst has passed. We believe that he'll be sent home with only a heartrate monitor, which will alert us if there is a problem. He'll have to wear it for possibly a few weeks, but for us, any technological device to help calm our nerves is greatly welcomed.
Here's some pictures from today! Look how BIG his feet are, just like Daddy.
Have a great night everyone! Thank you all for your support! Positive thinking works!
Special thanks to Renee, Jay, Stephanie and Eric for the beautiful fruit basket. We can't wait to dive into it tomorrow morning for breakfast!
