A Beautiful Day!

It was a beautiful day here today in St. Louis! Temperatures topped out at 60 degrees with a brisk south wind. Emmy and Aidan finally(!) went on their walk together. Here's the little monkey with his reversible windbreaker on:

And, because Mommy wasn't feeling too well, Mr. Aidan joined me in my conference call with my MBA classmates at Arizona State. He didn't seem too impressed with our multimedia setup (telephone and Internet connected), but I felt pretty relieved that he slept through the entire hour and 15 minute meeting! On the flip side, does this mean that Aidan just slept through his first class? Uh-oh! Here we are:

Speaking of my MBA, a cool (I think) thing happened with me on Saturday. I've been nominated to become a member of Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society. Not really sure that it's a big deal or how legit it is (they say that only take the top 20% of the entire school's MBA class based on scholarship; Arizona State currently has 1,400 MBA students so I'm one of 280) But anyway, here's their words on it,

"The Beta of Arizona Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma has voted to recognize your outstanding scholastic achievements by inviting you to become a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the honor society for business programs accredited by AACSB International. Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can recieve in a master's program at a school accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business."

OK, then....sounds good to me! Since much of my MBA work is done through team based learning, I definitely wouldn't have been able to do well in school had it not been for our team...they're really great, smart professionals. Here's a picture of us from our orientation in Arizona:

Left to Right, Marshall is an internet security expert out of Virginia, me, Dan is a project manager out of Arizona, Karen is a computer software guru in Washington, Ed is an Auditor in NYC and Scott is a pricing manager in Oregon. Great folks!

OK, that's all for tonight and enough of my business (no pun intended).....

Have a great night,

Ty, Emmy and Aidan
