Just "Plane" Fun!!!

Well, well....Grandpa Steve was able to make it into foggy St. Louis this morning on his "sleigh" and Mr. Aidan was SOOOO excited to see him! We went out to the airport and waited for him to land. He made a nice landing and came right over to us smiling big and waving his arms in happiness...how fun! We then got to drive our car out on the tarmac to the airplane...er..."sleigh" to pick up the Christmas gifts. Of course, Papparazzi Daddy had to get as many pictures as I could of Aidan, Grandpa Steve and the airplane. Here's just a sample:

Captain Aidan, preparing for take-off. I wonder how he's going to see where to fly, since he can't see out any(!) of the cockpit windows!! Hmmmm....I guess he'll just fly only using the instruments...dang, he IS a good pilot!

OK, enough plane pictures....now let's talk about Aidan's Christmas!! Since, we're staying here in St. Louis for Christmas, Grandpa Steve and Grandma Liz sent over their presents today with Grandpa for us to open. Aidan did really well opening the presents, although he liked the tissue paper and packaging the gift came in much better than the presents....but honestly, thank you Dad and Liz for some great gifts....Aidan is very blessed to have two wonderful people to shower him. Here's the action:

Tuckered out after a long day of planes and packages

I'll tell you, there is such a special feeling to see your parents have unbelievable joy when the see your child again....it fits so well with this season...which is about the joy and happiness of God's creations, whether it be Baby Jesus or our Baby Aidan...the true spirit of Christmas comes from the smiles and laughs of those who you love...and those that love you. Thank you Dad for being here today...I wholly enjoyed it.

Today and next week is going to be one of the most emotional weeks of Emmy and my life, seeing our little boy experience Christmas, his Grandmas and Aunt and a first birthday....I'd say it has started out great.
