Notes from the infirmary.....

That's right folks....Emmy the nurse here. My two favorite boys are sick. Daddy has the stomach flu and Aidan has a fever of unknown origin. I got a call today just before I left for a meeting at our corporate office that Aidan had a fever of 101.7. Other than a runny nose, he is very happy, so we aren't really sure what is up. I had a pretty bad cold with a fever last week, so maybe I shared a little too much love with Aidan and passed my germs along to him. By the time I could get home from my meeting, which as luck would have it ran late, Daddy was sick. All of my energy is now going into disinfecting everything Tyler touches, just in case there is some small chance that Aidan and I won't get this stomach thing. Poor guy.

Now, on to the good news of the day, which was expected but nonetheless good news....Aidan's MRI was normal! Well, technically normal for him, since he will always have a small amount of scarring where his bleeds were. The scarring is so small that his neurologist, Dr. Rohrbaugh, said that if the radiologist hadn't pointed out where his old bleeds had been, he never would have been able to find them on the scan. That says a lot for a guy who looks at MRI's everyday! While we will never really know what the cause of Aidan's bleeds were, there was nothing new on the MRI and we got the reassurance that we all (including his doctors) needed. It is bittersweet that we say goodbye to Dr. Rohrbaugh. He is a wonderful doctor but he doesn't need to see Aidan any more, which is wonderful!

Sorry no pictures tonight....not a good day to take pictures with all of these sickies running around! Wish us speedy recoveries!

Oh Babies! I'm sorry you both are sick but I'm sure that Em is being a good nurse to you both! Poor things...I so hope that Aidan doesn't get your flu either (although if truth be known, he probably passed it to you :( sorry to say...that's what happens when you have children who are around other children who have germs! Remember, wash your hands 11 times a day! Please get better! I'm making Chicken Noodle Soup as I type...wish I could send it your way!

Sleep well and get better soon!

Love,
Mom

Oops, I forgot! Hooray for Aidan! We will be forever thankful for Dr. Rohrbaugh and his expertise with handling a very scarey situation. Thank God that we can now stop worrying about the things that happened that afternoon and delight in watching a very healthy, happy, baby boy!

Our prayers have been answered!

Love,
