A Surprise Visitor!!

So as the story goes...we'd just gotten back to the house after running some errands. We checked our voicemail to see that a message was left from Daddy's college friend, and 1/2 of the famous blog "Put that down....don't touch that!", also known on our site as the "The Meyer Family" blog....yes, it was Kevin Meyer!

Kevin was coming back through town after some work wrapped up early, so we had dinner together at the Trailhead Brewery in old St. Charles! It was great catching back up with him and hearing about all the things that he, Jenni, Ashley and the new one to come are doing! Thanks Kevin for giving us a call, we were glad to see you again! Good Luck with that new baby when he comes!

More good news from the walking front tonght! We're up to 5 steps and at least 1 minute of standing without falling down! I know that these are just little things but it is soooo exciting to watch him get better. Here's a quick video of him taking a few steps and clapping about it!

And pooped out after all that walking and standing on his own.

Speaking of "pooped out", when I was going to post the above video on Yahoo!, this video popped up from some hometown news station in Grand Rapids, Michigan....for all those who have dachshunds...clean up your "Wiener Poopie" or else!
