Temper Tantrum!!

Oh...fine. I'll post something about the little man and temper tantrums. Over the past week, several of our friends' blogs have touched on this little subject and it just so happened this weekend that Mr. A decided to get in on the game.

He really is a fantastic baby, however there are times when he gets frustrated, either because he just doesn't have the ability to do something (as is the case in the below video) or just because...just because. Unfortunately, I find it hilarious. I do, it is so funny watching him get into a situation that just isn't going to work. Is that bad? Well, I don't know, but he just has a level of cuteness...even when he's mad.

Take the other night, we're trying to teach him the rules of the house, i.e. no walking out into the street. So we checked for traffic and tried to "talk him" out of walking into the street. It worked...for about a second, then he decided to tempt us again by taking one more step closer to the street. This went on another few times until he decided to take to the street. We, or I should say, I (Emmy was observing from the front porch), tried again, this time more sternly to get him to come back to us (and to hold my hand) so that we both could walk together on the street, safely. What he did will live with Emmy and I forever. He looked at me, smiled and then turned around and high-tailed it in the opposite direction, only to stop and look back after about 5 feet. At this time, I was again talking him back to me (unsuccessfully). And then he did it again! I look up and Mommy and she has her hands over her face, just about ready to heal over in laughter. Then I try talking again, and now I'm laughing....and Aidan is laughing to! How do you try to talk seriously to a toddler about serious things, without looking at their face and without completely losing it...time will tell.
