There is an AT&T god...and he does magical things! Kinda...or I guess one of their technicians got the memo that I wasn't too happy with the lead time on getting our internet back up.
So now we're back! And a special post for tonight!
So the story goes that we were in here (the den) last night and Aidan was looking through the books on our bookshelf. Granted, most if not all of these books are old school books that Emmy and I have accumulated through our 5 college degrees. Mostly we've kept them for novelty sake or as a permanent rememberance of all the student loans we still owe...uck. Anyways, Aidan happened to pick out one of my favorites,"Flight Stability and Automatic Control"...see here...
I think he was attracted to it because there was a picture of an L-1011 jet on the front. As he was thumbing through pages and pages of greek formulas and stuff, Emmy and I got drawn into reading about our friends, The Hawn's, who had a new baby, Ryan on Wednesday night. Congratulations Hawn family!!
Since two year olds typically have attention spans of 30 seconds, he runs off and we forget all about the book. Until night-night reading time....and then we saw this:
We have no clue how "Flight Stability and Automatic Control" made it to Aidan's bookshelf...but you know what...that is pretty darn awesome. So, for kicks and giggles, we read him one paragraph from the book, this one,
"The performance characteristics of an airplane depend on the properties of the atmosphere through which it flies. Because the atmosphere is continously changing with time, it is impossible to determine airplane performance parameters precisely without first defining the state of the atmosphere."
So true...so true.
Have a great Friday night!
Ty, Emmy, Ethan and Professor Aidan!
