Manners

Well, there isn't really much to talk about tonight. We had a very uneventful weekend of hanging out, running errands and the continual basement clear-out.

Another big week is upon us as Mommy has tons of meetings and Daddy has his first negotiation session with the US Navy on Tuesday and Wednesday on a new contract for the jet. And how can we forget Friday!? The big gender announcement and more pictures of Baby #2! I've got the gender video ready to go...and it is awesome! Really...you will like it!

So, the topic of the post is "manners", and while many have some; many have none. We like to try and think that Aidan will be more some then none, so we've been working hard on the cause/effect nature of life and how to rightly speak.

For example, today we heard him burp at the table. After giving us a shocked look, he said, "Excuse Me". Emmy and I looked at each other and about fell out of our chairs. He also today had a "hitting moment" on Daddy's face (all 2 year olds hit, not a fun thing). After I indicated sadnesss and hurt feelings, he came over to me, said "I'm sorry", signed "I'm sorry" (rubbing a circle around your belly), and then gave me a hug. How can you not love that!?!? He's gotten great at thank you and please....and when asked a question of if he wants something (like "Do you want some apple juice?"), he has finally broken out of the previous response which was (in a typical Missouri-redneck voice) "Yeee-up" to now say "Yes" and sometimes even says, "Yes, please". Awesome!

Well, that's all for tonight. Have a great night!

Ty, Emmy, Aidan, and Baby F2!
