Flying over today, we had a very good ride, except the pilot landing extremely fast. Like crazy fast, he didn't slow down the plane down using flaps until the very end and put the gear down first (!), so needless to say, I was a little bit excited about what exactly was going on. Oh well, he was easily 5 years younger than me (and I'm young).
So I had the opportunity to visit the Stephen Udvar-Hazy Center /Smithsonian Air and Space Museum at Dulles Airport...and I have to say, it was awesome!
They have one of the last Concorde's, the "Enola Gay", the Space Shuttle "Enterprise", and many, many other really historic airplanes. Very cool place, I strongly suggest you go and check it out if you ever visit DC.
Here's just a few pictures:

The "Enterprise" Space Shuttle (test shuttle, never flown)

This was an actual space suit made for a toddler, given out to VPs for their kids during the "Space Race" of the 1960's.

The Concorde and the SR-71 Spy Plane
Finally, you never really know how much you miss your punkins until they're not there. I mean everything...the sight of Aidan walking through the door when he gets home, the conversation that both Emmy and I need to have each night just to help us decompress for the day. I miss it. And I miss you guys. I hope you are all well...I'm thinking about you all the time.
Love to you all,
Ty

Aaron and I were just talking about that museum!! Yesterday. We have been through Dulles a bazillion times, but never long enough to do anything. It is on my list of places to go... the museum AND DC. I would LOVE to go to the National Zoo.
Have a good time... can't wait to hear more about your trip.
Awe Tyler! I know that they miss you too! You are so lucky to have the wonderful marriage and family you have. I thank God daily for all of you and hope for the same for Spencer and Natalie! Enjoy your time away and return renewed and refreshed and ready to be Daddy once again!
Love and Miss you too!
