All right! Day 2 has come! Ethan Thomas is doing just great! This morning he had met with Dr. Mayer, our pediatrician and she gave him a very good appraisal of health. She said that she was a little bit concerned that we hadn't seen any urine in his diaper and that he hadn't really breast fed very well. Also, he seems to have inherited "Daddy's non-chin" which could make breast feeding a little bit harder for him, since he'd have to get his chin down pretty far to allow for a good latch on.
Never fear folks, Ethan came through big time today. By mid-afternoon he had peed in his diaper (actually all over Daddy while he was changing a meconium filled diaper (again)) and he latched on and nursed VERY well with Emmy! So all concerns are gone and after the circumcision tomorrow we are all set to go home. What an unbelievable and humbling relief that he has made it through this process so well.

Great post Ty! I called mom today asking her all the detail of how the baby was... Emmy was... Aidan was blah blah blah and she was like "what are you working for the FBI." haha I said well I just want to be updated but this blog has helped me out so much! I love the pictures of Aid and Ethan... I look at them now and know they have no idea of what great brothers and friends they will become in the year to come! I am so proud of you and Emmy for being such great parents to both of those little boy! I cant wait to plan my trip out... hopefully late July or early August!! I love you all... ALL 4 of you and am so proud to be a part of your family!
