Week 39 - A Mini Watermelon!

Well....we are one week away from attaining the 40 week mark! Amazing the journey that has been taken, both by Mommy, Aidan and I and by Ethan Thomas. Going from just one cell, splitting and growing into another member of our family! He's really not doing much this week other than gaining some more fat. His lungs, heart and all other vital organs are now ready to go. He's been kicking a lot, and Mommy has been having a lot more contractions over the last couple of days then she had, say, last week. Today too, Mommy's co-workers threw her a Surprise Baby Shower! They had sandwiches and cake and lots of good stuff for Baby Ethan! Thank you St. John's Quality and Performance Improvement Co-workers!

Here's all about what's going on this week with Mr. E.

Now onto a quick story that I have on Mr. A doing today at his school when I picked up. He and all his schoolmates were up in the "loft" area in the Raspberry Room. Erin, his teacher, had them all sitting around in a circle. Amazingly all of them were sitting calmly, listening to her sing this song:

"I see a friend who is wearing a (fill in the blank, today it was a Cardinals' shirt for Aidan)

and his name is (fill in the child's name).

Stand up! Jump up and down!

Jump in a circle, jump in a circle! Sit back down."

So as I hid in the room, I heard Erin call Aidan's name and watched him get up, with a huge smile on his face, jump up and down and then back in a circle. It was really, really fun. It makes me so happy to see him enjoying life outside of what we do here at the house. He clapped and smiled when the next person had their named called.

Just before bed tonight I snapped another "Faces of Aidan"...it's been quite awhile since I did this last. Enjoy!

We have a Doctor's appointment tomorrow to see if any progress has been made on Baby E. Dr. Thompson then leaves town for three days (!), but in all likelihood, nothing is going to happen. Next week though...watch out! It most likely be ETHAN THOMAS TIME!!!
