Two Months!

Well, well....a Two Post Day!

There is a lot going on with everyone so we gotta capture it before new things eclipse the old ones!!

So Ethan Thomas had his 2 month checkup on Monday. He's doing really, really well! All the things that he's doing so far put him at about a 3 month old on the Denver Developmental Scale. As for his stats...here we go!

Weight: 11 lbs 15.5 ounces. Just a half ounce shy of 12 lbs. He lies in the 50th percentile for weight and has been there since birth, so that's a real good thing! Gaining weight with all that great nurishment by Mommy!

Now, for the fun one. Height: 25 inches. Ethan is way, way above 95% for length. In fact, he's now out lengthed most of his 0-3 month clothes, and can even fit in some 3-6 month outfits! He's just a little giraffe, skinny and long.

To put it in persective, Aidan was 11 lbs 14 ounces at this age but was only 23 and a half inches long (and that was 75% percentile). Ethan is 1.5" longer! That's like 7% more than Aidan was...whoa! I'm sure he'll slow down, since Emmy's 5'4" and I'm 5'11".

Other big news is that Ethan was assigned our top choice foe rooms at his school. While we weren't displeased with the Pear Room where Aid went, we really came to love the times that Aidan was moved in with the kids in the Apple Room. So, that's where Ethan will be full time based at...Apple Room. The teachers Margeret and Becky are wonderful. They sing and play, but also know that it's important to have quiet time, which the Pear Room was always chaotic and noisy.

Another big jump was made surprisingly by Aidan this week. I was dropping him off on Wednesday to the Raspberry Room and the lady at the desk said, "I think that they are dropping off all the kids at the Lime Room (the preschool room) today". Yikes! I got that feeling I did as a kid when you went into school on the first day and have the big knot in your stomach. I thought, "Oh man, the Lime Room...what's nums going to do??!?!?" Well, must to my pleasure...he did great! Walked right in, found his friends (the whole Raspberry Room moved that day) and was off, like nothing was different. Plus, there was a whole new set of toys to play with in the Lime Room!!!! That's my boy!

So here's some fun pics of the boys in the hotel in Chicago in matching jammies that we ordered right after we found out about Ethan coming. So fun...I especially like the "butt pose"...nice shots Mommy!

And as a very special treat, here is Ethan talking up a storm. Cooing and having a ball with Mommy!

Big fun coming this weekend with Uncle Aaron, the Grammies, Jim, and Jen (Aaron's gal) for the big Baptism! Awesome!
