A New Hobby for the Boys!

Well, what started as a simple, "Let's get a train for around the Christmas tree this year", has now turned into a full-fledged hobby....and I couldn't be more happy about it!

I love trains, Aidan loves trains, heck even Ethan loves watching the train go around the oval that I built in the picture above. I was able to find an old guy on Craigslist who was selling some trains and picked up quite the collection for about $120 bucks! It was a great deal and although the engines and cars are used, they are perfect to "teaching" Aidan how to be gentle around them! So off we go, with another fun thing that Daddy (and Mommy too!) will get to enjoy with our boys.

Not much new other than that going on here. Our Parents as Teachers lady, Sarah, was back again tonight and she was lovin' on our little guys. Ethan did great in all his hearing tests and the grabbing test that she brings just to measure how he is doing. Aidan on the other hand is doing extraordinary. Let's start with pronunciation. Sarah said over 30 words to Aidan and had him repeat them back. Each word increased in difficulty to say...and...Aid was able to pronounce all but one of them, giving his pronounciation at a 6 year old level. Yes, he is 2 years and 11 months old and pronounciates at a 6 year old level. That is awesome! For the rest of the tests that she does, Aid performed at a 4 year old level for cognitive reasoning, matching sounds, and identifying actions in pictures. Really cool stuff; our smart little dude.

Here's some random pictures from the last couple weeks! Enjoy!

Have a great night!
Ty, Emmy, Aidan and Ethan

Awe, they are the two cutest boys in the world! It is just wonderful to be able to watch how they are growing and maturing! I love the train Tyler! This is just awesome to be able to share with them your love of something so special. I so wish I still had your Little Tykes Train! I could just see Aidan's eyes light up if he saw it and could ride it daily! Oh well...

Hugs and Kisses to all! They sure are looking happy and healthy :-)

Keep up the good work! I am so proud of you and Em!

Love,
Mom
