It's Apple Pickin' Time Again!

Two posts tonight!!!

Wow! Time again for Apple Pickin'! Eckert's in Grafton, Illinois had Honeycrisp apples ready to go this weekend....so....we were ready to go pickin'.

So again, like last year, we needed to take the ferry to get over to Illinois.

Aidan was quite excited!

Daddy and Aidan and Aidan sailing in the breeze, Cool guy style.

Crazy thing happened on the ferry, we started hearing some thumps and then sure enough a massive fish had jumped up ONTO the barge! Asian carp, crazy fish!

Then it was onto Eckert's....

Johnny Tractor was there too!

The apples were amazing! HUGE!

Unbelievable story. As we were picking apples, we hear Ethan say "AHH-UP". Then he points to one of our apples and says "AHH-UP". Sure enough, we have another new word, Apple, for the first time...IN AN APPLE ORCHARD!!!! Here's some movies!

After some time picking, we took our nearly $50 in apples (yeah), and headed to Grafton for lunch. We found this awesome place called the "Loading Dock" and had fish, grilled cheese and salads watching the boats drive by on the Mississippi River. Certainly a new place to bring family has been found!!

Here's some pictures:

Our Harvest!

Ethan has become quite the daredevil. It seems that every thing that he does, Aidan didn't do. For example:

He also climbed up the steps of his tree house slide, crawled across the top and slid down by himself today! What a mover and shaker!

Well, big trip back to Ohio goes this week...can't wait to see everyone and to partake in the excitement!!

Have a great night,
Ty, Emmy, Aidan and Ethan

Can't wait to see everyone in Findlay :)
