Saturday was absolutely gorgeous weather here in St. Louis and we tried to spend as much time outside as we could. In the morning, Daddy did some work around the house fixing up some stuff (new thermostat, new outside keypad garage opener) while Mommy and boys did their stuff (laundry, playing cars and trucks, etc.). At 1230, after Aidan's favorite lunch (Jimmy John's Turkey Sandwich), Daddy and Aid headed to O'Fallon for pictures for his soccer season. I (illegally, kinda) only got the solo shot of him (because I had to be in the team shot), but it was a good picture.
The boys took good naps and Daddy did his "Fall Revitalization" of the yard (low cut mowing, dethatching, re-seedings, and fertilizing). We celebrated our Anniversary (#7 and not-on-purpose forgotten from the blog on Monday, whoops) at Maggiano's Little Italy in Brentwood. It was some good eats and we have leftovers that will push well into the week.
Finally today we finished up our normal errands of the weekend and spent time hanging out and playing in the basement. We did find out that Aidan's two favorite NFL teams are the Rams and the Robins. I asked who the "Robins" were and he said, "You know that team that has the feather's on their helmet and wear yellow pants and red shirts". Anyone have a guess?? They played the Rams today and got beat. So funny!
As the title says, we do have some Awards and some Award-Winning smiles to post about. First, Daddy's team at work, the Boeing F-18 Finland Team, recently won a Diversity Award for our work in continually trying to learn about the Finnish culture. Typically at Staff Meetings I'll research a Finnish topic (for example: Finnish Baseball see it here. BTW It's Awesome) and share that with the team. And because our team has several members who have spent months in Finland, they share their experiences with us. It's a fun and educational thing to do and our boss nominated us for this award. And sure enough we won, so on Thursday Night Daddy AND Mommy were invited to a great dinner recognizing us for Valuing Diversity! Go Team Finland!

Congrats to Daddy and Mommy for many monumental milestones that happened this week! 7 years of marriage, the awsome "Diversity Award", and "life with the boys" that makes everything pale in comparison! Hooray for everything...especially the beautiful smiles that you always post on this blog that then make Grammy's and Gpa's sooooo happy!!!

ps: Did you see my text picture of the Clydesdale's that came to Findlay! AWESOME! I couldn't get over how that Dalmation sat so still on the seat with the wagon drivers...it was so uncanny!
