This kid is really into weather. We've had a couple of events in the last year where we've had to wake the boys up and take them to the basement because of Tornado Warnings. Of course because this is often a confusing and scary moment, I try always to "teach" him some things about why and how the storm is doing what its doing. First thing first, we always look at the radar. We talk about the colors and motion and how that affects us...Aid really gets into it and being a weather guy myself, I think that is cool as hail.
Onto our weekend. We had a nice weekend, the weather today (Sunday) was beautiful. Upper 70s with a great breeze was a perfect way to welcome in Spring. We ran our errands early this morning and then were able to play on the deck and patio all afternoon. We finished up the day with a great family meal on the deck....here's some shots.
First day in the sandbox! Dig it!
Yes, I am a Rocket Scientist...and now I have the shirt to prove it (from Old Navy)
Mr. Funny.
Watching his brother swing....lovin' it.
Big but not too big to still swing :)
Helping a brother out by bringing him his water....what a kind little boy.
Now with a few inches on what he was last year, the playhouse is a cinch to climb up and slide down!
Aid did really well learning how to "pump his legs" to gain momentum on the swing!
FFA on the First Day of Spring 2011!
On last thing, we're back in Swim Lessons and we decided to only pay for Aidan this time, so Daddy gets in with Ethan and "instructs". He's doing really really well, here he is floating and kicking with four blocks on. We'll have two swimmers before you know it!
Have a great night,
Ty, Emmy, Aidan and Ethan

Thank goodness for Old Navy...and letting us know that you are a "rsx" "rocket scientist extrodinaire"!!! So funny!
Wow, that Ethan is a swimmer...we need to bump off that little girl in the pink bathing suit though)! Can't wait to see him in the pool in Mexico!
What a kid! That Aidan is something else :) So smart and I couldn't believe that he got Dallas and Colorado in the correct directions! Pretty good Daddy! Yep, I think he just might be our "weather-man"!!! How cute!
Glad you all had a great week-end free of "hard labor" now that the kitchen and wall painting is complete! Enjoy your week and know that I love you all very much!

Mom
