Monster Day!!!

Well, February 4th was a day that Daddy and Aidan had been looking forward to for a long time.  It was truly a "Monster Day"!

First, Aidan's first Indoor Soccer game of his soccer career and his team won!  The Lions were taking on the Jaguars and Aid was quite the impact player, chasing down the ball and really being aggressive (in a nice way of course).  Lot a fun, check the pictures below!

Waiting patiently with his team before getting in!

Here we go!

What?!?

Schmoozing with Coach Zack...he's also the referee.

And now a video of the man in action....he's gotten better at chasing down the ball, but overall, you can tell he's having fun!

OK, last night was Monster Jam.   The yearly celebration of awesome, powerful and loud Monster Trucks!!

This year, we got "pit passes" so we could go down and see the trucks and meet the drivers.  It was pretty busy, but we made the most of it...and got that one picture that made it magical.

Monster Aidan...Monster Jam...on the floor!

In front of the most popular truck of all time, Grave Digger.

 Monster Energy Truck!

Aid and some other boys got down and did some playing on the real Monster Jam dirt!

El Toro Loco....one of our favorites!

A new truck to the circuit...the Ice Cream Man!

Ironman....Really nice looking truck!

Digger...everyone's favorite (although, it really didn't do well last night)

Bounty Hunter, wait to you see what happened to this truck later!!

More Toro Loco!  Look how big that truck is!

Now, fun story here....we've seen Monster Jam on the TV a few times, and every time this driver, Linsey Weenk comes on, Aidan say, "I bet he's a really nice guy".  He's a pretty good driver and has won lots of races and he was at the Dome last night.  Lines were pretty long for autographs, but we were persistent and waited until the very end. After a bit of coaxing, I was able to convince Aid to get a picture with Mr. Weenk. And you know what....he IS a really nice guy.  By far my new favorite driver...I give you, Linsey Weenk....a really nice guy!

I wished him "Good Luck", Aidan thanked him and we shook hands....That guy stood down there for 3 hours and signed autographs and took pictures and right near the end, he still had was tolerant and gave Aid and I a great memory.  Thanks Linsey!

Now onto the racing!!

Well the Ice Cream Man stunk.  Like two jumps and he was completely disabled.

Ironman was awesome, look at that air!

Bounty Hunter lost his back tire about 10 seconds into the run....then he completed the rest of the 90 second run with THREE WHEELS including some amazing jumps...and he still lost the competition....I call BS.  I mean he raced on THREE WHEELS the whole time!  Come on Judges!

Big Digger air!

Finally the winner of the Freestyle, Tom Meents and Max D!  Watch...it's awesome.

Alright, that's all for today!

Have a Monster Day everyone!
Ty, Emmy, Aidan and Ethan

OMG! I love the hair at the soccer game! I can tell that he is into jell...so cute!

The "Monster Truck Jam" was omg...Linsey is adorable and how awesome was it that he took so much time with the fans! I so hope that Aid does not aspire to be a monster truck driver though! Man, those guys go thru some *@%#& getting those trucks to jump and then destroy them! Is that the focus? Or is it who can go thru the course without destroying their truck? The one standing is the winner??? Boy, I bet Mommy was sad she missed that? ba ha ha!

You all have a wonderful week...Tyler safe travels and Mommy only one more week :) You are doing a fantastic job at being both Mommy & Daddy! I am so proud of the way you have stepped up to the plate so that Tyler can have a job where he is challenged & can grow in! Thank you for all you do~ I know first hand how hard it is!!!

Love to all,
Mom
