Where to start, yeah, how about the biggest snowstorm ever in March and easily the biggest since we've lived in St. Louis....
Unreal snow...grand total was about 13.5" at our house....

This is how it looked at 630AM....
THIS is how it looked at 12:30PM..about 6 hours and 9" of snow later.
It happened only once, but the time it did was absolutely EPIC, we got one lightning strike during the snow, which is meteorological terms is called THUNDERSNOW!!! Awesome!!!!
Here's my time lapse video, shot every 10 minutes from 630 to around noon (because I thought the snow was done then) (WRONG)
I shoveled the driveway 4 times so that I didn't have to spend hours doing it at the snow storm total...
Poor little 6" ruler, you didn't have a clue what was coming for you...
So this was at about 9AM....6" ruler just peaking his head out....
And he's gone...;(

It was actually snowing faster than I could shovel it...

Our normally non-cushioned deck chairs look like they have cushions....snow cushions!
We made the most of being camped in the house all day. Mommy and the boys made easter cutout cookies....and...
After dinner we had authentic snow cones, with REAL snow!!
So Daddy had a business trip this week to New Mexico (more on that later), so after I left Monday afternoon, the boys and Mommy had some fun together!
First it was special Easter baskets from Auntie Elizabeth....
Big reader, reading the cards with ease....
Finally Tuesday came and the temps and snow were ready for some outdoor fun! Note, this is Tuesday....

E wasn't too much into getting deep into the snow, so I hear....
but he had no problem cheesing it up for the camera!
Fast forward to Thursday, YES, Thursday...they are outside, no coats, riding bikes in the driveway!
I still cannot believe this...look at that snow...
WHERE DID IT GO!!!!
On to Friday, Good Friday, with beautiful weather and fun in the sun, Mommy took the boys to Faust Park in Chesterfield to play at the playground and ride the carousel...enjoy the pics!

So Emmy tells me that this was the start of the obstacle course that A&E imagined. They would jump off this leaf thing, run around those raised circle things and then start all over. She said that by the end, they had 6 kids doing it with them. Aidan turned to Emmy and said, "I started this" with a smirky grin :)

OK, before we get to this weekend (so far), here's a blurb on my trip to White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico. I've been leading a program for the defense research wing of South Korea, and this past two weeks were their big test of the system Boeing contracted a supplier to build. The 2nd week was the more critical week so I flew to El Paso and drove up to WSMR.
After leaving the snow of STL, the warm and clear skies of Dallas (my layover) were really welcome!
But, first I met up with some old friends from Denver that Emmy used to work with. BJ and Vero were some of our best friends there and we had not seen them in 10 years! But once we were back together it was just like times of old; great conversation and great company with these friends. It was so great seeing you again guys!!!

I can't go into the details of why we were there and what we were doing, but what I can tell you is that we were out in the middle of freakin' no where...NO WHERE!
Any body want to buy some land, there's some for sale!
Seriously road...Straight as an arrow....forever.
Favorite sign of the trip...TANK X-ING...and a full out screaching stop by someone who probably had a tank crossing in front of them! (see the tire marks on the road)

These are the Organ Mountains, just east of Las Cruces, NM and they greeted and watched over our 4 days of testing all week....
This is a sample of what they do as WSMR...shoot rockets!
Our days were long, 700A until 730PM, but coming home we were greeted with this awesome site every single day!
All of our testing went great and the Korean customer was quite happy with their system. There is only one test left to do (hopefully today) before we can declare the two weeks a success...but I left happy and the folks working the test were smart and professional...excellent week there for our company and our promise to "Deliver Results".
On Friday, the Koreans left early so I headed east to White Sands National Monument, a 1000+ acre park that is devoted to the rare and odd white gypsum sand that was deposited here by a prehistoric ocean...it was something crazy out there in the desert...

Miles and miles of 30 foot tall sand dunes...
You can see how big they are compared to the cars below...
People were flying kites and sledding, yes sledding, down the dunes!
Can you believe that any plants can grow here?
I made it back safe and sound and was so happy to see the family again (4 days out is a pretty long trip for me)...
Today was a typical Saturday of errands and piano lessons for the big guy. We found out that his first recital is coming up but unfortunately we'll be in San Diego as part of a business trip/vacation for Daddy...I'm sorry Aid!
But hey wait! We've got Easter eggs to color!

Mookie has become quite the helper in the kitchen, he loves to help Mommy cook. Tonight, Mommy made an amazing dinner, Pancetta wrapped pork tenderloin with champagne risotto sprinkled with crisp prosciutto and asparagus. Fantastico!
All the eggs...17 teams of them. I spy an I Love Mommy in there :)
