Pretty much the morning standard was Mickey Waffles or Pancakes as we got ready for a busy day at the parks...check too the niceness of our room, because we were on the corner, we got 2 windows to look out of.
At this point in the trip, we had not had the chance to walk around the resort, here's the pool area that was bound to be fun come later in our trip! Check out that water slide!

Here we are at the Opening Moment at Magic Kingdom. Mickey and friends arrive by train at the front gates of the park to officially open it!
A new and very popular ride this year is in the new Fantasyland. It's called Under the Sea with Ariel and all of our guides said that in order for us to ride all the rides we wanted to, and avoid long lines waiting, we needed to get to this ride first...we did :)
The animatronics have vastly improved over the older rides and the characters look remarkably real now.
Still photography doesn't really do the ride justice...the boys really liked it.
Next it was onto Dumbo. Last year because of the renovations we didn't get to ride on Dumbo, but this year we made a point to hit him up early.

There is a control that allows you to move Dumbo up and down, I look back once and Ethan had Mommy in for a wild ride!
The construction of Fantasyland is almost done (it actually was the biggest update to any Disney Park ever). The last major component is Snow White's dwarf roller coaster. It won't be ready until 2014, but from what I've seen of it, it looks like it will be another major attraction to MK and another roller coaster that we'll have to get the boys to ride!
Speaking of roller coasters, now we are talking! Here we are waiting in line for the Barnstormer, you'll see more about this fun coaster that BOTH boys rode on in Day 4, but for two little guys who had never ridden a roller coaster before, the Barnstormer ended up being a fan favorite!
Check out who is on this fun roller coaster, It's MOMMY!! We got FastPasses for this coaster, Big Thunder Mountain and swapped kids so we each could ride it. In the second picture, if you look close and at the front car, you'll see a familiar face :)

And here we go on the boys most favorite ride EVER!! The Tomorrowland People Mover!!
Emmy, Aidan (and his new friend "Everest the Yeti") and Ethan (and his friend A-Lisa, the giraffe) all riding the PM for the first time (we likely rode that thing 6-8 times during the two days at MK!)
Looking across Tomorrowland and you can see the PeopleMover snaking across high above the ground.
Over in Adventureland there is a treat that is a big fav, that is the Dole Whip Pineapple soft serve ice cream. While we can get it here at the STL Zoo, it still was a fun treat to have while relaxing during the afternoon. I should also mention that lunch that we had on this day was at Columbia House, Emmy and I had lobster rolls that were really good and packed with lobster!

Much of the theme this year was to do the rides and shows that we missed last year. One here was Aladdin's flying carpets. It was an OK ride and the wait wasn't too bad this year, so we did it up!
We headed back over to the Barnstormer just before dinner and you can see here how the ride "crashes" through the sign...fun ride!
Our second character experience was at the Grand Floridian Hotel, an opulent place near Magic Kingdom. Dinner this night was at a place called 1900 Park Fare and included several fun characters.
Here we are at the front of the restaurant getting the token family picture that they try to sell to you for $20. Uh no. Just take a pic with our camera and we'll call it even. That's what we did :)
This was likely the first time that the characters that we met were "human". First up, a rather odd looking Prince Charming. He was cool, talked to Aidan about being a prince and living in a castle. Ethan was freaked by him.
Next up it was Cindy herself, Ms. Cinderella! I think Aidan liked her, but was too shy to admit ;)

Lady Tremaine, the Wicked Step Mother, came by next. She was pretty fun and really played the character well. I had read prior that this character could be very rude and crass, but she was great, talking about Cinderella and how high and mighty she thinks she is now that she snagged Prince Charming. We were quite entertained with her...and those facial expressions...whoa.

The two ugly stepsisters, Drizella and Anastasia Tremaine. They too were great. They asked the boys if they were princes, if they had money and if they had prestigious jobs. They said that they were looking for a prince that had lots of money so they could live as free as they want. And boy were they ugly! :)

All in all a good dinner here, although the characters only came by once, we made the most of it. The big hit that Emmy and I liked was the cold strawberry soup, the dish that 1900 Park Fare is famous for. Here's the recipe.
We hurried back to MK to catch another event we missed last year, Disney's Electrical Parade. It was OK, nothing great, a bunch of lights on floats.
Eh...the crowds were pretty horrible at this time, and because the boys are a little freaked by the loud booms of fireworks, we headed home to beat the rush out of the park.
When we arrived, we found that the cleaning person had set up this awesome waterslide with the boys stuffed animals that they brought with them...it was the only day that they did something cool like this (even after tipping), but oh well...it was neet for one night!
I think I mentioned earlier that our room was right next to an open courtyard that they set up movies each night. Here's everyone taking in some popcorn and watching the Muppets Movie!

Awe loved the slide for the stuffed animals! And how cool u got to see a movie on the lawn! So much fun...so many memories! Awesome!
