The "Suburban" Cowboy

Oh, you know since Grammy P is a Tennessean, there is no way we can keep a cowboy hat off this little man. Daddy found this little diddy at Babies-R-Us today! I think it's pretty darn cool even if it is on backwards! Doh! Hence the title "Suburban" Cowboy, since Daddy doesn't know how to wear a cowboy hat! Ride 'em handsome cowboy! Yee-haw!

Every Lone Ranger needs his "Silver", so Aidan has Allie.
And off comes the hat and goes to......you guessed it right....the mouth!

Tutti Fruiti!

Aidan has entered the world of fruits...and he loves them!!

Last night Aidan started on Applesauce. He gobbled it up with his peas and rice cereal quite nicely! I'm really surprised at how well he likes the variety and flavors of foods that we've given him so far. From the bitterness of green beans to the texture of rice cereal to the sweetness of sweet peas and now applesauce, he's done sooo good!

Here he is getting his food on!!

Mommy is so excited for feeding the little man!

Here he is doing his new favorite trick: Pulling Mommy's hair!! OUCH!!

Finally, my business card holder came in! I love it soooo much, thank you Emmy; I can't wait to use it someday!

Have a great night everybody,

You're Not Cool...Unless You're in the Pool!

Boy it was a scorcher today in St. Louis! Good thing we got Aidan that pool awhile back. Daddy and he spent a hour outside playing in the pool while Mommy dipped her feet in! The water was perfect and Mr. A had a great time playing with his duckies!

And he and Daddy having some fun!

Have a great night,

Look Who's Thinkin' about Crawling!

Daddy picked up the little man today from the daycare and put him down for a nap. When he woke, this is what I found!

Although it is kinda tough to tell, but he IS on his hands and knees!

Then we had a little fun kneeling on the bed and holding ourselves up on the crib railing. Looks like fun!

Finally tonight was the LAST VEGETABLE of the Gerber "1" Series! Sweet Potatoes! Off to fruits in a few days!

Have a great night everyone!

Red, White and Boom!

Well, I'm back and ready to get back into being a Dad again! We had great news on my Mom over the last two days and the prognosis is very good for her recovery. The cancer was caught very early, and consisted of four very small areas. Best news is that no chemotherapy will be required and she'll only have to take a pill to block any straggler cancer cells that may be moving around for five years! Congratulations Mom!

We had a nice night at Auntie Elizabeth's Family's and then had a quick put-down tonight amongst the "war zone" fireworks that have surrounded our house.

Hope you had a great 4th!

Ty, Em, Aid and Al

Happy 4th of July!

Well, here Aidan is all decked out this morning in his "Baby's First 4th" onsie!

Aidan and I went to his 6 month check up yesterday. He had to get shots again which made him a little fussy and hard to get to go to sleep. However after some miracle Ibuprofen he slept until 11pm when the fireworks next door (yes, next door!) woke him up. So, he ate, went right back to sleep and then slept until 5 am, when he ate again and went back to sleep until 6:45! He is back down for his nap now and put himself right to sleep like an angel!

It is a good thing that he is getting his rest because we have a big day planned. We are going back to Godmother Elizabeth's to swim and Ty will be meeting us there for dinner after he lands! Yeah! Aidan is excited to swim with his Daddy again!

Here are some shots of him in his 4th of July outfit he wore to "school" yesteday. I tried to get pictures of him not chewing on his toys and the only one I could get was the one where he is tossing the ring off to the side so he could go after Allie! He is such a busy little boy now!

Have a safe and happy 4th everyone! Thanks for reading my posts while the "post-master" has been away!

Love- Emmy, Aidan, and Allie

We miss Daddy!

Ty went to visit Grammy T, Grandpa Steve, Aunt Nat, and Uncle Spence for a few days, leaving Mommy and Aidan to our own devices once again (which coincidentally leaves me as the blogger of the house). I would say that we did pretty well tonight. Aidan fell asleep in the car on the way home so I didn't want to stop for dinner. When I got home I dug around and realized that we had the ingredients to make Western Salad, which is one of my favorites, so I was excited. Aidan jumped a little in his jumparoo, ate his peas and squash great, sat up even better, and took a nice bath before falling asleep like a good little boy. Maybe he is taking it easy on me since Daddy is away? I let him know that he is more than welcome to sleep through the night in honor of Ty!

Here are some quick pictures of our evening alone:

I love this one...he looks so intent!
Good night all! We miss you Daddy!

SIX MONTHS!!!

Aidan is six months old today!!! Yeah Aidan!

Daddy has been working for some time on a video to document this huge day, and I'll tell you...I really am happy with how it turned out. For those of you wondering, it took me over 10 hours just to make this 3 minute and 44 second video. Geez...where did I find that time?! Be patient though, I uploaded it as a fairly high quality video; it's about 45MB in size.

And now I present to you, the TyFro Production of:

"Days Go By" ~ By Aidan Matthew Frost

Finally, a HUGE Congratulations to Emmy as today she meets her goal for breastfeeding Aidan! Such a great accomplishment and sacrifice that she's made over these 6 months and I'm so proud of her! Not including Aidan's time in the NICU, he's had exactly 3 bottles of formula....that's awesome Emmy, congratulations....I love you!

Have a great day!

Good News all around!!

Hey were back with the Tuesday installment of the Frost Family Adventure.

Got a couple of great news items to cover first. My mom made it sucessfully through her surgery. For those who didn't know, she was diagnosed with breast cancer again a couple of weeks ago. This time though we are nearly certain that she'll not need chemotherapy or radiation after a successful surgery and reconstruction today. We love you Grammy T, we knew that everything would be alright! Now let's focus on a good recovery and well deserved rest and relaxation at the Frost Manor in St. Charles, Missouri!! (When you're ready of course).

Next news, Baby Aidan took GREEN BEANS tonight!! He did awesome, eating about half a container of both carrots and the green beans! Awesome job Mr. A! Here's a couple of shots of his next big food!

Next big news, Mr. Aidan has finally made the belly-to-back roll party! We watched him roll all the way across the room tonight and it was really funny! Now, hopefully he'll roll back on to his back at night (after he's rolled onto his belly)....can you hear full night's sleep ahead??? I can!

Last news, not so big...is that daddy got a promotion on Monday. Really nice to be recognized for my hard work both on the job and in school (both Master's degrees). Some new opportunities have jumped up for me, so I'm really excited about finding my path to excellence! Now my wife, got me a really cool gift for my promotion, it's a sterling silver business card holder from Tiffany's. I told her that it was way too expensive, but she insisted, and hopefully someday I'll get to use it on a regular basis. It's not here yet, but I'll post a picture once I get it because I really think that it is special. So we decided to celebrate tonight with Daddy making a fantastic dinner. First we had White Balsamic Green Beans (see a theme here) with shallots and bacon paired with cheesy hash brown cassarole. The main course was bacon-wrapped filet minon grilled to medium level and topped with a whiskey-garlic heavy whipping cream sauce. And we're finishing it up tonight as I type with a little Chandon Brut champagne, the finest champagne we've ever had under $15 dollars! Here's our dinner tonight (thanks to Grandpa Steve for the Omaha Steak Fillets!!) Let me know if you want the recipe!

Have a great night guys!

We Love You Grammy T!

A mother is love, a mother is comfort.
She is like a tulip; soft and sweet, opening her heart to all during day,
and holding you tight in the calm, cold of night.
And so today, we thank and love our mother
and pray for her with all our might.

We love you Mom, we can't wait until its our turn to hold you tight.

Who the heck is Bob?

Here's Aidan today, while we had hoped for him to try and take a nap this afternoon, he wanted nothing more than to have a detailed conversation with Bob, whoever that is. Either he's talking about Bob, or he wants to be in the mob, either way, he was not sleeping. P.S. He did fall to sleep right after I finished taping! Yeah Aidan!

Enjoy!
