RIP: Mr. Pacy "Pa-Pa" Pacifier (2006-2009)

Mr. Pacy "Pa-Pa" Pacifier ~ 2006-2009

Today, we sadly announce the passing of Mr. Pacy "Pa-Pa" Pacifier. After such a short life of only 2 years and 1 month, "Pa-Pa" as he was known to Aidan has passed.

He lived a very full life:

• being thrown in church at people (multiple times)
• being lost in the middle of the night such that Mommy and Daddy often times were down on their hands and knees searching vigorously for him
• being dropped thousands of times yet to be "blown off" by Mommy and Daddy and stuck back in Aidan's mouth
• being lost during take-off to Mexico and hearing him hit every chair as we climbed out (that "Pa-Pa" was never found)
• being a permanent fixure (other than keys, cell phone and wallet) in Daddy's pocket anywhere we went (and usually had backup too!)
• being chewed on tirelessly as Aidan grew teeth
• And finally, being cut down, over and over, to the point that Aidan declared him "broke" and stopped using him forever.

We will miss you verily Mr. Pacifier....NOT!!!

Yes indeed, the pacifier is gone. Actually, it hadn't been used that much since about a week after Aidan's birthday, but today we threw him out!

As difficult as many said for it would be, it was actually very, very, very easy to get rid of it. I just cut it down a few times and after the initial shock of it being "broke", Aidan really didn't care for it anymore. It's a good thing.

We had a nice weekend here in St. Louis. Today was cold, but yesterday there was record warmth here! St. Louis topped out over 70 degrees for the high, and had a record high low temperature too at 57 degrees (that is, it was the highest low temperature ever recorded ).

Since the weather was awesome, we decided to head back to the Museum of Transportation to check out the trains again. Mommy hadn't got to see it last time, so we wanted to take her along too. Being that the place is really cool for trains, we signed up to be members, which gets us in free as much as we want and discounts at the store there too! Anyways, it was another exciting visit.

Last time we were there, Aid and I were walking around and missed a train passing on the nearby tracks....but not this time! They have a little observation deck that you can sit and watch the passing trains and we saw a BIG one! It was a coal train coming up from the south, and had five engines (2 pulling and 3 pushing)...Aidan and I were impressed! We counted the cars and waved at the train engineer as he zoomed by. Pretty cool experience if I may say so!

Another big week ahead for all, Mommy and Daddy have lots of work and Aidan has a special Valentine's Day party on Friday....who will be his Valentine? Jayden? Elliana? Britta? Samantha? Lacy? He's has lots to choose from.
