I won't do too many Daddy travel pictures (was in Seattle, Monday-Thursday meeting with the P-8I Program), but here are a few notables:
Here is the brand new Ferris wheel along the waterfront, I'm sure the views from the top are spectacular! The one black capsule (at about the 2:30 o'clock position above) has a see thru bottom!
An absolute beautiful night on Monday (this was the only time I saw blue sky the WHOLE week)...Weather there is awful.
I purposely stayed near "The Needle" this trip so I could walk at night over by it...Amazing structure.
Aidan loves elephants, Ethan loves car washes....the perfect mix is in Seattle!
The famous Pike Place and the Pike Place Fish Fish Market (the place that they throw the fish to each other).
I flew to Albuquerque on the way home and we went right next to Mount St. Helens. What an amazing thing happened when that thing blew!! (half the mountain is gone!)
OK, enough about me. Mommy held the boys at bay through the week (very well I may add) and we met up Thursday night for dinner and a date...well, actually a "New Parent Meeting" at St. Joe's. It was good, we learned all sorts of things about Aid's school and are excited for him this week!
The weekend has been fantastic. We had wonderful weather and wonderful news earlier from Eckert's saying that our favorite apple was ready to be picked, two weeks early! Yes, Honeycrisps were ready for a pickin' and we were all over it, as soon as they opened.
Mister Smiley is ready to ride a tractor!!
Almost ready to get back to the orchard!
I knew this year would be great. Mooks is a year older and was ready to pick!
Big blue eyes, riding the tractor
First apple of the day! Picked by Ethan!
Aid found a good one!
Two Boxes!?!? What were we thinking!
Sometimes you need a little lift to get to the best ones!
Look at that excitement!
A perfect honeycrisp!
Looks good Nums!
Look at all those apples!
This is the patented smirk, "Look, I've got Mommy wrapped around my little finger."
Blackberries were ready to go too, so we had the boys share in the bucket carrying duty.
As always, we packed a picnic and had a very nice lunch under the trees. It was awesome.
Racing in the AppleKnocker 500...
Fun on the tire swing!
With the weather perfect, I thought I'd get some head shots of our big guys....Awesome country up there in Grafton.
Mookie!
Kindergarten Man!
We so love going up there....what a great place to pick apples.
And here's our loot! 60 apples (35# worth!, that wasn't cheap at $3/#!) Oh well, it's not the money we spend, but the memories we make! And we had a half a pail of blackberries!
All three of the kids slept on the way home from the orchard, leaving Daddy to drive :( But that's OK, I got to rest a pool time when the boys snacked on some cookies!
The pool was a bit chilly on Saturday! Can you believe that?
Today, we knew the weather was going to be cool, so we headed down to the STL Zoo. It's a fantastic zoo, everything free and we found some free parking too! We decided to take in the new Sea Lion show and had our favorite Dole Whip Ice Cream, but overall, we did it all for less than $15! Great place.
With it being so cool, all the animals were out, including:
The Amur Leaopard.
Amur Tiger
Sleepy Mommy African Lion
The Snow Leopard takes a yawn.
Of course, Ethan's Favorite.
Giraffe and Ostrich!
Sleepy Daddy African Lion (and one hiding out in the den below)
Aidan's favorite now is a Puma (because of his school shoes), but honestly, I didn't know what a puma exactly was, but now we all do! :)
The elephants today were amazing, we must have watched them for a half hour...now you can too...check it out!
Pretty cool huh?
The Sea Lion show was OK, they are still training them, but in a year or so, they'll be awesome!
Here we are at the show!
That's Dixie, a 2 yr old female pup.
Here's Bennie, a 10 year old master! Check him out!
And diving off the ledge!
And balancing a ball, he took it all over the pool and up on the deck...awesome.
And for the Grand Final....
Excellent!
All right! What a weekend...and what a week ahead. Look back here on Thursday for all the festivities!
Thanks for reading, have a great night.
Ty, Emmy, Aidan and Ethan

Wow, I should say... "what a week-end"!!! Doesn't seem possible that Mr. Aidan is ready for school! Can't believe that it seems like yesterday we were rushing to make it to the hospital for his birth! Very special times with a very special boy! Oh the FUN he will have :) Loved all of the pictures! Looked like a jam-packed weekend! I am sorry to miss the Apple/Blackberry pickin! It is a ball :) Good Luck Mommy and Daddy this week...I remember well the day that I put Tyler on the bus to St.Mike's with his buddy Andy Green! I dressed him in an outfit that included bib overall shorts...my goodness, what was I thinkin??? Ha, Ha! Take lots of pictures for the Grammy's! Hugs and Kisses to everyone! love, Mom
Do these boys really get cuter every day or is that just through a grammy's eyes?!!! Another fun filled weekend. Can't believe Aidan is going to school already. Can't wait to hear all about his first day. Somehow we get through it but I think it might be a bigger step for the parents than it is the child. Will be thinking about all of you this week. Even Ethan has a change with big brother not being in the same building.
Love you all!!
