Walt Disney World 2013, Day 5: Epcot!

Last year we did two days at Epcot, but because we tried (and liked) Animal Kingdom, we decided that Epcot would only be a 1 day stop this time.  We got there early but the Spring Break lines were in full effect.  It was VERY busy and we had to make a mad dash to Soarin' to get FastPasses before they sold out...

The rough start and mostly cloudy skies made Epcot a bit less fun this year, but we still made the most of it.

Walking towards the Finding Nemo ride and looking at Spaceship Earth.

Quick pic next to Dory, Marlon and Nemo and friends...

Shark boys getting eaten by Bruce the shark.

This is Turtle Talk with Crush...pretty funny again. Boys liked it a bunch...

The Annual Epcot Flower show was going on this past week so there were over 200 topiaries that had been set up park wide. Pretty neat stuff.  This was taken near the UK in the international plaza.

I love going by each country and seeing how Disney has interpreted each.  This little cottage is where Alice (From Alice in Wonderland) comes out and takes pics from.

Aidan using the red phone booth...I had to explain to him what those actually are for  :)

Me and the boys next to the Capt'n Hook Alligator topiary

And the Mater topiary...so cool they can do this with flowers and mesh...

Because there are not many rides at Epcot, we took some time out to have the boys play in a couple of the special playgrounds built for the Flower Festival...

Another cool thing we did for the first time was to go into the World of Coca Cola store.  In there you can sample sodas from around the world...the consensus of the family was that Israel's and Japan's where the best and Italy's was by far the worst.  You can see the types in the second picture below.

Kind of a bummer the weather started turning cloudy, this is looking across the lake at Germany and the USA Pavilions.

But that didn't stop us from having a hand made pretzel and beer in Germany!

Mooks woke up from his nap and watched the model trains in Germany too!

There we are...In Epcot.

Like we did last time (because it was so good), we booked dinner with characters at The Garden Grill. It was good this time too and we met some new characters....

Pluto again :)

It's Dale!

Trying to suffocate my kids!

Just kidding!

Chip and Dale together...silly chipmunks...

Giving E an autograph...

And A a hug...

Chip!

Farmer Mickey in the house!!

Family shot with M-I-C....K-E-Y...

A final shot of Spaceship Earth, on our way out of Epcot and Walt Disney World..see you next time!

OK, on to our last day, Day 6  :(
